Albert Einstein
I am an educator with over 16 years of classroom experience, teaching Visual and Digital Arts, STEM, and working as an RTI interventionist for grades 5 through 8. In addition to the usual lesson and presentation design required of educators, I adapted significant portions of the STEM curriculum to function in the remote-only requirements of the COVID-19 pandemic and as a result, have significant experience in video editing and online lesson design.
Regardless of the subject area I am teaching, my focus is on providing lessons to students in a safe, nurturing environment where there are always opportunities for self-expression, growth and improvement.
I prefer to use rubrics when grading projects and research assignments. This allows for itemized, specific grading. Rubrics are shared with students prior to the assignment, and often students will grade previous student samples. This particular rubric was made in Excel/Sheets and auto scores as the points are entered in the Rating column.
